Abstract

"This diploma thesis describes the development of an universal tool used for logging and simulation of different bus systems in automotive applications. The hardware development contains a wide research of components and interfaces. These were compaired and selected in their features of performance. Afterwards the design of the boards and the housing were developed in EMC aspects. Then follows a strategy for the power supply in vehicles and the design of the circuit layout with the claimed interfaces. Concerning the software development a concept was created for a CAN bus simulation which is very economic on memory recsources. It runs on an embedded Linux operating system. The concept is documented with UML-diagrams. Based on this diagrams a template for a static residual CAN bus simulation was implemented in the programming language C and was tested with the CAN analyse tool CANoe."
