Abstract

"During this thesis it was attempted to track the movement of an armature through the usage of a hallsensor. The armature is part of an actuator which mainly consists of two electrical magnets who are arranged perpendicular to each other. The armature is able to move between them. The movement is controlled by a direct current, which supplies the coil of each magnet. The armature has a high impactvelocity when it reaches the surface of the magnets. Due to this fact, the armature tends to bounce off the surface of the magnet. This can lead to the failure of the system. It is also responsible for a high noiselevel. In order to solve this problem it is necessary to track the movement of the armature. This information can be used to produce a closed-loop control. In order to track the movement the magnetic induction B was determined by static and dynamic meassurements for various hallsensorpositions. The result of these meassurements is, that for high currents the movement can be tracked by the meassured induction B. For low currents the determined induction B can not be used to record the movement."
